What is Noom Med, and what comes with its GLP-1 plans?

Noom is best known for its weight-loss app. Its Noom Med programs add licensed clinicians and prescription medicines, including compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide with the medication in the price. Each fact below comes from its own pages, read November 1, 2026.

Cost

How much does Noom’s GLP-1 program cost?

Noom’s GLP-1 plans cost $79 to $149 for the first 4 weeks, then $179 to $299 a month, billed every 12 weeks (checked November 1, 2026). Its standard plans sit above the medians in our GLP-1 price index (checked November 1, 2026). Tirzepatide is $299 against $237 for 14 programs; semaglutide, $249 or $279 against $199 for 17.

From Noom’s pricing page and its GLP-1Rx Plus and GLP-1Rx pages, read November 1, 2026. The microdose tirzepatide plan isn’t on the pricing page: its price is from Noom’s cost guide (updated September 22, 2026), “effective as of July 27, 2026” for new accounts. Noom’s fine print adds “plus tax.”

NexLife Price Match Guarantee†. Already on compounded tirzepatide or semaglutide with another licensed provider, and paying less? We match your regular monthly price. How it works

Month one is a starter price. GLP-1Rx Plus is $149 for your first 4 weeks, then $299 a month, $150 more. Noom’s fine print calls the $149 an “initial 3 week subscription and 4 weeks of medication.”

Then you pay 12 weeks at a time. Noom bills $897 every 12 weeks for GLP-1Rx Plus: three months at $299. So each Noom “month” is a 4-week supply.

No membership fee. The price includes the medication, clinician care, 1:1 coaching and the full Noom app, Noom says.

Noom’s GLP-1Rx page shows two semaglutide prices. The top of the page says $279 a month, “billed as $837 for 12-weeks.” Its FAQ says $249 a month after the $129 start, and so does Noom’s pricing page.

Also on offer: a Proactive Health plan that pairs a microdose GLP-1 with at-home tests of 17 biomarkers, at $149 every 4 weeks.

Switching? Keep your price. At NexLife, compounded tirzepatide is $139 a month on the 12-month plan, or $169 month to month, at every dose. If another licensed provider charges you a lower regular monthly price, not a first-month offer, our Price Match Guarantee† matches it when you switch GLP-1 providers.

Month two

How much does Noom cost after the first month?

From month two, Noom’s GLP-1Rx Plus is $299 a month, $150 more than its $149 first 4 weeks (checked November 1, 2026). It’s billed $897 every 12 weeks. That’s $62 above the $237 median of the 14 tirzepatide programs in our GLP-1 price index (checked November 1, 2026). Its microdose plan goes from $99 to $199.

Compounded tirzepatide, from each company’s own pages, read November 1, 2026. Totals are our math: at Noom, the first 4-week price, then the monthly price; at NexLife, the monthly price times the months shown. Noom’s months are 4-week supplies, and its prices are before tax. NexLife’s price is the same at every dose. Compounded medicines aren’t FDA-approved, at Noom or at NexLife.

Compounded tirzepatide, the first 12 months (at Noom, twelve 4-week supplies), from each company’s own site, read November 1, 2026.

Month one is close. Noom’s $149 start is $10 more than NexLife’s 12-month plan ($139) and $20 less than NexLife month to month ($169). The $99 microdose start is lower than both.

From month two, NexLife costs less at the same dose. GLP-1Rx Plus is $299 a month: $160 more than NexLife’s 12-month plan and $130 more than month to month. Over 6 months, that adds up to $750 more than NexLife’s 6-month plan, or $630 more than month to month.

The microdose plan is closer. Its first 3 months cost $497: $20 more than NexLife’s 3-month plan ($477), but $10 less than 3 months month to month ($507). By month four, NexLife month to month has cost less in total: $676, against $696.

Noom bills 12 weeks ahead. Your first two charges, $149 and $897, come to $1,046 and cover 16 weeks. A full 52-week year of GLP-1Rx Plus is $3,737 before tax: $149, then four 12-week blocks of $897.

At NexLife, month to month bills monthly. The 3-, 6- and 12-month plans bill the way you choose at checkout, and your dose never changes the price.

For semaglutide, month two at Noom is $249 or $279 (its pages differ), against $119 on NexLife’s 12-month plan or $139 month to month.

How it works

How does Noom’s GLP-1 program work?

Online, in four steps: a short assessment, a licensed clinician’s review by chat, medication by mail, and daily lessons with a 1:1 coach in the app (Noom’s pages, read November 1, 2026). You need a BMI of 25 or higher. It isn’t offered in Alabama, Louisiana or Mississippi.

  1. A short online assessment

Share your health history and goals. Noom checks your identity and asks for a full-body photo before treatment, its transparency page says.

  2. A clinician’s review, by chat

A licensed clinician evaluates your answers online and prescribes if it’s clinically appropriate. Noom’s transparency page describes care by chat, with video visits in some programs.

  3. Medication by mail

Your medication ships to your door with syringes and alcohol swabs. Your clinician starts you on a low dose and raises it step by step.

  4. The app, every day

Daily lessons, food logging, weight tracking and a 1:1 coach. Noom’s SmartDose protocol adjusts your dose step by step, based on how you respond, its pages say.

Who it’s for: people with a BMI of 25 or higher, outside Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, who qualify after a clinician’s review. No insurance is needed.

Who’s behind it: Noom names its clinical leaders. Its chief medical officer is Jeffrey Egler, MD. Its medical director, Karen Mann, MD, is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

Which pharmacy fills it: “designated partner pharmacies,” Noom’s tirzepatide safety page says. The pages we read don’t name them.

Pros and cons

What are the pros and cons of Noom’s GLP-1 programs?

Noom’s strengths are its app, its coaching and its size. What to watch is mostly billing: the jump in month two, the 12-week blocks and the refund rules.

Noom’s strengths

  • A full habit-change app, not just a prescription: daily lessons, food logging by photo, weight tracking and a 1:1 coach.
  • One all-in price: the medication, clinician care and the app, with no separate membership.
  • A big, established brand: 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot from about 67,000 reviews, and replies to 99% of negative reviews.
  • Lower-dose plans at a lower price: microdose tirzepatide is $99 to start, then $199 a month.
  • Cancel in the app or online, any time before your renewal date.
  • Brand-name Wegovy or Zepbound too, through a separate telehealth plan, with the medication paid through insurance or at the pharmacy.

Things to watch

  • Month two costs $150 more: $149, then $299 a month for GLP-1Rx Plus.
  • You pay 12 weeks at a time ($897), and renewal charges aren’t refundable.
  • No refunds once a prescription is written, its refund policy says.
  • Two semaglutide prices on its own pages: $249 or $279 a month.
  • The pharmacies aren’t named, and its prices are before tax.
  • Not offered in Alabama, Louisiana or Mississippi.

From Noom’s own pages and its Trustpilot profile, read November 1, 2026.

Canceling

How do you cancel Noom, and can you get a refund?

Cancel any time in the Noom app or online, before your renewal date; your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds are limited. Renewal charges aren’t refundable, and plans with medication can’t be refunded once a prescription is written (read November 1, 2026). So cancel before the next 12-week charge.

  • How: in the Noom app (your profile picture, then Settings, then Manage Subscription) or in its online Subscription Portal. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel.
  • When: before your renewal date. Your plan stays active to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Refunds: on Noom Med plans with medication, none once a prescription is written. Renewal charges aren’t refundable either.
  • If you’re not prescribed: a refund “may be available,” Noom’s policy says.
  • Reminders: Noom says its billing reminder emails show your renewal date and whether you can get a refund.
  • Instead of canceling: you can switch to Noom Weight, the app without medication.

From Noom’s refund policy and cancellation help page, read November 1, 2026.

At NexLife, plans renew until you cancel by email, with 30 days’ notice from the day we receive it, which our medical team can waive in exceptional cases, such as a serious medical condition. Shipped medication isn’t refundable, and longer plans are billed the way you choose at checkout.

Reviews

What do Noom reviews say?

Mostly good. Noom is rated 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from about 67,000 reviews, and 82% give four or five stars (read November 1, 2026). Reviewers praise the app, the lessons and the coaches. Complaints are about billing, canceling and customer service. The ratings cover all of Noom, not only its GLP-1 programs.

  • 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot from about 67,000 reviews
  • 82% of reviews give four or five stars 60% give five
  • 5% give one star and 3% give two
  • 99% of negative reviews get a reply typically within 24 hours

Most reviewers are happy. Trustpilot’s AI-written summary of recent reviews says most reviewers had a great experience. It says they praise the app’s meal and calorie tracking, the lessons and the coaches.

The complaints. The same summary says some reviewers report billing errors, disputed charges and trouble canceling, and find customer service unhelpful.

One caveat: these reviews cover all of Noom, not only its GLP-1 programs.

From Noom’s Trustpilot profile, read November 1, 2026; the profile was claimed in November 2017. The summary is Trustpilot’s own, written with AI from recent reviews. Individual reviews aren’t Noom’s policy, and experiences vary.

NexLife, for comparison, is rated 4.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot, from 407 reviews (read November 1, 2026): a far smaller count than Noom’s.

Verdict

In their words

What does the FDA say about GLP-1 programs like Noom’s?

Noom’s pages don’t name the partner pharmacies that fill its compounded medicines, so ask which one fills yours.

“Patients should obtain a prescription from their doctor and fill the prescription at a state-licensed pharmacy.”

U.S. Food and Drug Administration, FDA’s Concerns with Unapproved GLP-1 Drugs Used for Weight Loss

Noom also offers brand-name Wegovy and Zepbound on a separate telehealth plan, so it helps to know when the FDA says compounded medicine fits.

“Compounded drugs should only be used in patients whose medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug.”

Noom may suit you better if

  • You want a full habit-change app with your medication: daily lessons, photo food logging and a 1:1 coach. NexLife includes a nutrition plan and a 1:1 coaching call.
  • You want a lower first month: Noom’s microdose tirzepatide is $99 for the first 4 weeks. NexLife’s 12-month plan is $139 from month one.
  • You want brand-name Zepbound or Wegovy, paid through your insurance: Noom has a separate telehealth plan for that. NexLife doesn’t offer brand-name Zepbound.
  • You want to cancel online, any time before renewal. NexLife asks for 30 days’ notice by email.
  • You want a long review record: about 67,000 Trustpilot reviews, and a reply to 99% of the negative ones.

NexLife may suit you better if

  • You want a lower price from month two: compounded tirzepatide is $139 a month on the 12-month plan or $169 month to month, against Noom’s $299.
  • You’d rather pay month by month than 12 weeks at a time.
  • Your dose is above 8.75 mg a week, the top of Noom’s GLP-1Rx Plus dosing chart. At NexLife, the price is the same at every dose your provider prescribes, up to 15 mg.
  • You want to know your pharmacy: NexLife names its two state-licensed 503A partner pharmacies.
  • You want real people 24/7 by call or text, and HSA, FSA, Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay at checkout.

Both programs offer compounded medicines, which aren’t FDA-approved. Noom’s own fine print says its compounded medicines haven’t been reviewed by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality. The FDA explains what that means:

At NexLife

Switching from Noom, step by step

Time it to your renewal date. Noom bills 12 weeks at a time and doesn’t refund renewal charges, so the end of a billing period is the natural moment.

  1. Noom bills every 12 weeks and doesn’t refund renewal charges, so cancel before the next one, in the app or its online Subscription Portal. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel.

Vial math

How many units is your tirzepatide or semaglutide dose?

On a compounded vial, the units depend on its strength. Here are the label doses at example strengths, with the math to check your own.

Tirzepatide

Tirzepatide doses on Zepbound’s label, with the volume and units on a U-100 syringe at an example strength of 25 mg per mL; your vial’s label decides
DosemL at 25 mg/mLUnits (U-100)On the label
2.5 mg0.1 mL10 unitsStarting dose, for 4 weeks
5 mg0.2 mL20 unitsA maintenance dose
7.5 mg0.3 mL30 unitsA step up
10 mg0.4 mL40 unitsA maintenance dose
12.5 mg0.5 mL50 unitsA step up
15 mg0.6 mL60 unitsThe maximum, and a maintenance dose

The math: mL = dose ÷ strength (mg per mL), and units = mL × 100. At 25 mg/mL, 10 mg is 10 ÷ 25 = 0.4 mL, or 40 units.

Semaglutide

Semaglutide dose steps from the Wegovy label, with the volume and units on a U-100 syringe at two example strengths, 2.5 mg/mL and 5 mg/mL
WeeksWeekly doseAt 2.5 mg/mLAt 5 mg/mL
1 to 40.25 mg0.1 mL (10 units)0.05 mL (5 units)
5 to 80.5 mg0.2 mL (20 units)0.1 mL (10 units)
9 to 121 mg0.4 mL (40 units)0.2 mL (20 units)
13 to 161.7 mg0.68 mL (68 units)0.34 mL (34 units)
17 onward2.4 mg0.96 mL (96 units)0.48 mL (48 units)

The math: mL = dose ÷ strength (mg per mL); units = mL × 100. At 2.5 mg/mL, 1 mg is 1 ÷ 2.5 = 0.4 mL, or 40 units. At 5 mg/mL, the same 1 mg is 0.2 mL, or 20 units.

25 mg per mL is an example only: it’s the strength of the 15 mg multi-dose vial on Zepbound’s label (15 mg per 0.6 mL). Read the strength on your own vial’s label; your provider sets your dose, in steps at least 4 weeks apart. Every step: the tirzepatide dosage chart. Both strengths are examples only. The same dose is a different number of units at a different strength, so read the strength on your own vial’s label. Your prescription sets your dose and schedule, which may differ from these label steps. Every step: the semaglutide dosage chart.

What does each Noom GLP-1 plan cost?

Noom’s compounded tirzepatide is $149 for the first 4 weeks, then $299 a month (checked November 1, 2026). Microdose tirzepatide is $99, then $199 a month, and compounded semaglutide $129, then $249 or $279 (its pages differ). At NexLife, compounded tirzepatide is $139 a month on the 12-month plan or $169 month to month, and semaglutide $119 or $139.

How much is Noom’s tirzepatide after the first month?

$299 a month for GLP-1Rx Plus, billed $897 every 12 weeks, after $149 for the first 4 weeks (checked November 1, 2026). The microdose plan is $199 a month, billed $597 every 12 weeks, after a $99 start. At NexLife, it’s $139 a month on the 12-month plan or $169 month to month, in month one and every month after.

Is Noom’s GLP-1Rx Plus compounded tirzepatide?

Yes. The fine print on Noom’s GLP-1Rx Plus page says it offers compounded tirzepatide, which hasn’t been reviewed by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality. Its GLP-1Rx plan offers compounded semaglutide. Compounded medicines aren’t FDA-approved, at Noom or at NexLife.

Does Noom’s price include the medication?

Yes, on its GLP-1Rx plans: the medication, clinician care and the full Noom app, with 1:1 coaching, come in one price, with no separate membership. Its plan for brand-name medicines is different: $39 to start, then $129 a month, with the medication paid separately. NexLife’s price includes the medication, provider care, a nutrition plan, a coaching call and shipping.

Can I cancel Noom and get a refund?

You can cancel any time in the Noom app or online, but refunds are limited. Noom’s refund policy says plans with medication can’t be refunded once a prescription is written, and renewal charges aren’t refundable. At NexLife, you cancel by email, with 30 days’ notice from the day we receive it, and shipped medication isn’t refundable.

Which states can’t get Noom’s GLP-1 programs?

Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, Noom’s GLP-1Rx pages say (read November 1, 2026). Elsewhere, you may qualify with a BMI of 25 or higher, after a clinician reviews your health history. Noom also checks your identity and asks for a full-body photo before treatment.

Is Noom legit?

Yes. Noom runs the Noom weight-loss app, and licensed clinicians prescribe through Noom Med. It names its chief medical officer, Jeffrey Egler, MD, and its medical director, Karen Mann, MD, a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Its pages don’t name the partner pharmacies that fill its compounded medicines.

What do Noom reviews say?

Mostly good things: 82% of its Trustpilot reviews give four or five stars (checked November 1, 2026). Trustpilot’s AI summary says reviewers praise the app, the lessons and the coaches, while some report billing errors and trouble canceling. The reviews cover all of Noom, not only its GLP-1 programs.

Can I keep the Noom app if I get my GLP-1 elsewhere?

Yes. Noom lets you switch from Noom Med to Noom Weight, the app without medication, instead of canceling, and its blog lists Noom Weight at $209 for a 12-month plan. Its GLP-1 Companion tools, a free add-on in the app, are built for people taking GLP-1 medicines.

Can I switch from Noom to NexLife?

Yes: start online, and a licensed provider reviews your history and current dose, then decides whether to continue it. Noom bills 12 weeks ahead and doesn’t refund renewal charges, so the end of a billing period is the easiest time. Paying less elsewhere for compounded tirzepatide or semaglutide? Our Price Match Guarantee† matches your regular monthly price.

Is Noom GLP-1 worth it?

It depends on what you value. Noom’s app and coaching go further than NexLife’s, and month one is close in price. From month two, Noom’s compounded tirzepatide is $299 a month, billed 12 weeks at a time, against $139 on NexLife’s 12-month plan or $169 month to month.

How much does Noom GLP-1 cost for a year?

$3,737 before tax, for a full 52-week year of GLP-1Rx Plus, Noom’s compounded tirzepatide: $149 for the first 4 weeks, then four 12-week blocks of $897 (checked November 1, 2026). On NexLife’s 12-month plan, compounded tirzepatide is $139 a month, at every dose.

Important safety information

Compounded tirzepatide and semaglutide are not FDA-approved, and the FDA hasn’t reviewed them for safety, effectiveness or quality. A provider prescribes them only when they offer a significant difference for you compared with an FDA-approved product. Both medicines may cause thyroid tumors, including cancer: don’t use either if you or a family member has had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Read the full safety information

In studies with rodents, both medicines caused thyroid tumors; it isn’t known whether they cause them in people. Tell your provider if you notice a lump or swelling in your neck, hoarseness, trouble swallowing or shortness of breath. Serious side effects can include inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis), gallbladder problems, low blood sugar (especially with insulin or sulfonylureas), kidney problems from dehydration, severe stomach problems, serious allergic reactions, vision changes in people with type 2 diabetes, and a faster heart rate. Tell your care team before any surgery or procedure that uses anesthesia or deep sedation. Don’t combine either medicine with other GLP-1 medicines.

Tirzepatide can make birth control pills less effective: switch to a non-oral method, or add a barrier method such as condoms, for 4 weeks after you start and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. Both medicines may harm an unborn baby. Semaglutide should be stopped at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy. Tell your provider right away if you’re pregnant, planning to be, or breastfeeding.

This is a summary, not the complete safety information. Read the full Prescribing Information for FDA-approved tirzepatide (Zepbound) and semaglutide (Wegovy), and talk with your provider. You can report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or fda.gov/medwatch.
